Centerville, GA- Carmelita Evans Pitters was reunited with her husband, Joseph Pitters in Heaven on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was 91 years old. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 2:00PM in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour before service from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. Carmelita will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Carmelita was born on June 15, 1930 in the Republic of Panama to the late Nathaniel and Priscila Evans. She was a member of A New Beginning Church. She loved the Lord and it showed through her daily walk with him. Carmelita was always joyful, very outgoing, and had a great sense of humor. She was a very classy lady who enjoyed dancing to her favorite music and going to play BINGO. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and Carmelita was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 daughters, Anita Grenald, Sonia Grenald, Elena Pitters, 2 sons, Ricardo Grenald and Alfonso Grenald.
Her beautiful life will forever be treasured by her children: Delia Evans of Centerville, Joseph Pitters (Gail) of South Carolina, Delano Pitters (Evelia) of the Republic of Panama, Alfonso Pitters (Marilyn) of Arizona, and Yolanda Pitters of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
