Obituary of Veronica E. Kelby

Byron, GA:Veronica E. Kelby, 91, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2004. A memorial service will be held at a later date. You may contact the family for more information. Mrs. Kelby was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Willard and Katherine Noon Shackelford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest F. Kelby. She was a retired school teacher having taught the first grade in the Dunsmuir Elementary in Dunsmuir, CA. Mrs. Kelby was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in W.W. II. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of The Latter-Day Saints in Warner Robins, GA. Mrs. Kelby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Mary Glenn R. Jr. Compton of Byron, GA and Anne Paul Kitley of Sacramento, CA, 4 grandchilren, Jessica Compton, Katherine Neagle, Bret Kitley and Carlena Kitley, 2 great grandchildren, Mariah and Alexander. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
