Obituary of John Frederick

Warner Robins, GA: John Frederick, Sr., 87, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2004 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home with visitation following until 9:00 PM. Mr. Frederick was born in Sykesville, PA to the late Angelo & Enricketta Panza Frederick and ones one of eleven children. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann E. Parsons. He had lived in Warner Robins for the past 38 years and was a retired Air Force Major and a retired civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base. He served as manager of the Officer?s Club at RAFB from 1966 until 1982. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a volunteer at the church and the school. He frequently used his building skills to build cabinets, computer tables or anything needed by the teachers or the students at the school. He flew with the 17th Bomb Group in W.W.II and flew missions over North Africa, Sicily, Corsica and Northern France. Mr. Frederick was a life member of M.O.A.A. and a founding member of the Warner Robins Little Theater. Survivors include his wife, Ollie H. Frederick , son John Frederick, Jr., both of Warner Robins, grandson Justin Parsons of Ontario, CA, sister Dorothy Provenzano of New Kensington, PA. and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Houston County at 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund at 250 S. Davis Dr, Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to the American Cancer Society at 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 in memory of Mr. Frederick, Sr. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
