Obituary of Marguerite Herndon Pinckney

Warner Robins, GA: Marguerite Pinckney, 82, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2004. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Christ United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Pinckney was born in Millville, FL to the late Fred H. and Bessie L. Prevatte Herndon. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church for over 30 years. She was a member of the Lydia Circle and taught Bible studies for over twenty years. She formed the ladies prayer group over 15 years ago and has been prayer leader for all these years. Former member of the Serenity Sunday School Class and a member of the Red Hat Society. Was past director of the Georgia State BVL a program for the hospitalized and blinded veterans for several years. Was named in the GWBA the Georgia Womens Bowling Asso. Hall of Fame in 1977 and a member of the Warner Robins WBA Hall of Fame. She and her husband owned and operated Pinckney Circle Jewelry in the circle, the first jewelry store in Warner Robins for 28 years, from 1947 ? 1975. Mrs. Pinckney was also a former nursing home director. Survivors include her husband Martin B. Pinckney, Sr. of Warner Robins, sons, Martin B. Alice Pinckney, Jr. of Marietta and Freddie Martha Pinckney of Byron, grandchildren Martin B. Kimberly Pinckney, III of Kathleen, Elissa Johnny Ellison Hinesville and Justin Pinckney of Warner Robins, great grandchildren Savannah Ellison, Avoly Pinckney, Andrew Ellison, Leyton Pinckney and Sarah Elisabeth Ellison, friend and pal ?Josh? her Yorkie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund at 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
