Obituary of Clinton K. Watson

Warner Robins, GA: Clinton K. Watson, Jr., 87, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Serenity Gate in Perry. Services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday in Central Baptist Church on Watson Blvd. with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Monday evening at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Watson was born and raised in Houston County, GA to the late Clinton K. and Sallie Hill Watson. He served as Probate Judge of Houston County for 24 years and was past President of the County Officers Association of Georgia. He was a veteran of the W.W.II and Korean conflicts while in the U.S. Army and a member of the 30th Air Depot Group. He was the former owner of the Men?s Shop in Warner Robins, former owner of a filling station in Warner Robins, assisted in organizing the Wellstonian Club, assisted in organizing and was one of the first directors of the Commerce National Bank which is Sun Trust Bank in Warner Robins. Mr. Watson was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and Sunday School teacher and helped in the nursery department for 32 years. He was a member of the Buck Hill Boys Group and a member of the Masonic Tyrian Lodge 111. Mr. Watson was an avid fisherman and a former rural mail carrier. Survivors include his wife and son Ruth Fender Watson and Clinton K. ?Chip? Watson, III both of Warner Robins and two nieces and a nephew Cherry Watson Fletcher of Tucker, GA, Phyllis Watson Quinn of Warner Robins and Hubert H. Watson, Jr. of Cordele. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Houston County at 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 in memory of Mr. Watson. Heritage Memorial Funeral is in charge of arrangements
