Obituary of Joy Satterfield

Warner Robins: Joy Satterfield, 48, of Warner Robins died Tuesday April 26, 2005 in Birmingham, AL following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Dr. Jimmy R. Asbell Jr. will officiate. Mrs. Satterfield was born in Pell City, AL and raised in Hawkinsville. Her parents, Tyrus and Rhett Wood, preceded her in death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the New Beginnings Sunday School Class. She was also a host for the Reach Out television ministry at First Methodist and Good News Television in Macon. She was retired from Robins AFB. Survivors include her husband Sam Satterfield of Warner Robins. Children: Ben Satterfield and Olivia Satterfield both of Warner Robins. Brother: Ty Roblyn Wood of Jacksonville, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Satterfield Family Fund at any Security Bank location. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
