Obituary of William H. Roy

Warner Robins, GA- William H. Roy, Jr., 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on the evening of October 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Following the services he will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Pastor Anthony McPhail will officiate services. William was born April 23, 1933 in Dover, New Hampshire to the late William H. and Rose Hassen Roy Sr. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and during his deployment in the Vietnam War earned the Gallantry Cross with Device, the Meritorious Service Medal and a Bronze Star. Mr. Roy retired after 27 years of military service. After retiring from the Air Force he went to work for the Civil Service at Robins AFB and later retired. During his retirement Mr. Roy was an active member of the DAV at Donald A. Moody Post #33 in Warner Robins and loved volunteering to serve other veterans. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jacqueline Roy, their son, Kenneth Roy and grandchild, Elizabeth Adams. His memory will forever be cherished by his son, Kevin Roy, Warner Robins, GA; daughter, Cheryl Adams, Manassas Virginia; son, Bruce Roy, Warner Robins; 3 grandchildren, Kristina Kerns, Kristina Hopkins, Brian Kerns; 4 great grandchildren, Aidan Weigle, Devin Hopkins, Jacqueline Weigle and Izabella Kerns.
