Obituary of Martraud F. Blochwitz Tarpley

Byron, GA.- Martraud “Trudy” F. Tarpley 70, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. A Graveside will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Pastor Craig Hutto will officiate. “Trudy” was born on March 5, 1948 in Berlin, Germany to the late Herbert and Gertraud Blochwitz. She worked for Badcock Furniture for many years where she retired. She loved gardening especially planting flowers. She was known for her beautiful knitting and crocheting. She had 3 cats that she loved. Her greatest joy, however, was her family whom she dearly loved, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Ellie Schwartz. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband Thomas K. Tarpley, Byron; children, Joyce Quinn, Milledgeville; Christina Cobb, Byron; Herbert ‘Bo’ Tarpley, Byron; Thomas Tarpley, Jr. (Trina), Warner Robins; Frances Cook (Ken), Kathleen; 23 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Rosie Maesz, Berlin Germany.
