Obituary of Alvin Lee Samuels

Warner Robins, GA- Alvin “Al” Lee Samuels, Sr., 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 30, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM, December 4, 2018 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, December 3, 2018 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Dr. Billy Thomas will officiate. He will be laid to rest immediately after the service in Parkway Memorial Gardens. “Al” was born on March 10, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Albert and Edna Samuels. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired after 22 years of service. During his time in the service he served in the Vietnam War and received the prestigious “Black Knight Award” for his service to the United States Air Force. “Al” is also retired, after 19 years, from the defense contractor, Pope Maintenance, as a mechanic. He was a lifetime member of the Life Church of Middle, GA. “Al” was a very loving, husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Leola Samuels; children, Alvin L. Samuels, Jr. (Judith), Lizella; daughter, Fonda Marie Bolden, Warner Robins, 8 grandchildren, Kendra Evans (Chad), Courtney McGarity (Chase), Brittney Watson (Lee), Cynthia Cooper (Jake), Katie Bolden, Drew Bolden (Shelby); Kenneth Genthner (MaryLou) and Chele Glasgow (Greg); 16 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Donna France, Judy (John) Wallace, Vickie (Bill) Carpenter, and Debbie Samuels. “Al” is preceded in death by 3 brothers.
