Obituary of Joyce Handy

Warner Robins, GA: Joyce Handy, 77, passed away on December 14, 2018 in the comfort of her home in Warner Robins. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the funeral home. Mrs. Handy was born in Darlington, SC. She was the daughter of the late Boyd Cecil Amerson and Sara Lee Amerson. She served as a school crossing guard who was adored by many children and their parents leading to her eventual appointment as the school crossing guard liaison for the WRPD. She was an avid member of the Warner Robins CB club known as American Girl. She joins God’s side in Heaven with her husband of 50 years Steve Handy and is survived by her, children Patty (John) Barnes, Sharon (Jon) Bailey, her sister Louise (George) Long, and her grandson Sean Bailey all of Warner Robins.
