Obituary of Shirley Wood Barnett

Roswell, GA- Shirley Wood Barnett, 79, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service, 11:00AM-12:00PM.  Immediately following the service she will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Reverend Andy Pickens will officiate.

She was born on March 8, 1939 in Macon, Georgia to the late Elton and Frances Wood.  She was a very loving and thoughtful person who could bring a smile to anyone she came in contact with. Shirley and her husband lived in Mexico Beach for nearly 20 years. She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchild. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Barnett.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, Douglas Barnett (Lorraine); Tracie Vicario (Larry); grandchildren, Sara Byrd, Samuel Barnett (Cristina), Robert Barnett (Judy); Nina Vicario (Diego); great grandchildren, Deshawn Wall, Eli Barnett, Arianna Barnett, Benjamin Barnett; great great grandchild, Leilanie Wall; and sister Anne Reaves.
