I’m so sorry to hear that the Chief has passed; we had so many “good talks” . I wanted to take him on one of our Middle Georgia Honor Flights to Washington DC to see his Memorials but he wasn’t physically able to go. We had a special Virtual Honor flight for him here in Warner Robins but he wasn’t able to attend this either. He was a great man and I so enjoyed being with him. I would have attended the funeral if I had known. So sorry, Roger Jennings, CMSGT, Retired and President of Middle Georgia Honor Flight
So sorry for your loss. I was blessed to get to know and work with Chief Camp in 1978 and 1979 while I was an Aircraft Mechanic on C-141. He had a big smile, taught me about the job, and even more about life in general.
He was a very good man. And he will be missed; listen for him though. You will hear him in the murmers of the wind, the rustle of the leaves, and the golden flakes of sunlight settling on your arm. He is not here, but he is not far. I know these things to be true.
