Obituary of Elinor Jackson Amsler

Elinor Jackson Amsler, 82, passed peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2020 in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Elinor was born on March 25, 1938 to the late Alton and Martha Jackson, in Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Amsler lived in many places which include; Waco and Houston, Texas, Stockholm, New Jersey, Newnan, Cumming and finally Warner Robins, Georgia. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She was a member of Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church in Cumming, Georgia. Elinor’s favorite past time during her younger years was playing golf. She also enjoyed many different arts over her lifetime, including painting, sketching, knitting, crocheting, spinning fibers into yarn, and even sewing beautiful wedding gowns for her daughters. 

In addition to her parents, awaiting Elinor at the gates of Heaven was her beloved first husband of fifteen (15) years Phelps “Allyn” Lane; her second husband of fifteen (15) years Benjamin (Bud) McLeod Amsler; and her beloved brother, John (Johnny) Jackson.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters and sons in law Lou Walls (Terry) of Chatsworth, Georgia and Susan Outz (Richard) of Warner Robins, Georgia: brother and sister in law Mike and Cheri Jackson of Hardyville, Kentucky: grandchildren Allyn Walls, Lane Outz, Cole Outz (wife Becky), and Sara Walls: and great granddaughter Lily Walls.

A private graveside service honoring Mrs. Elinor Amsler’s life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Georgia.
