I was with Skip in Bitburg... He was my best friend and wingman... We had The Fantastic 4.... Skip,Brian,Woody and me... Creston Rogerson.... We had a 14 and 1 base softball team in Spain... We would have been undefeated but Brian misplayed a fly ball and we lost by a run to a bunch of throttle jockeys.... I loved him.... I wish I could have been a better friend later in our live....Skip you will be missed... We loved listening to classic rock and drinking beer.... I could tell more stories but not in this forum... lol

I am so sorry to discover today that Skip has passed away. My name is June, I was his second wife from April 11, 1981 until we separated in 1984. He was a good man, intelligent and sensitive. I've been trying to find him just for a catch up from all those years ago. My thoughts are with his wife Dolly and the family. So sad. RIP Skip xxx

I am not surprised that Skip preferred dogs to people. When we were married we had two dogs, Tina (Heinz 57 variety) and Nathan (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) who had been flown by my brother John (also sadly deceased), all the way to us from the UK. Skip loved those dogs almost as much as I did. I remain shocked that he has passed away and my thoughts are with all his loved ones left behind. June (formerly Buff-Winkelman)
