Obituary of William Dennis Martin

William D. Martin Sr., 76, departed this earth to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 4, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Born in Mobile, Alabama to the late William Herbert and Frances Myra Martin, he was raised in the small town of Goodway, Alabama and attended Vigor High School in Mobile.

He was preceded in death by his wives Jane, Patsy, and Peggy, and his daughter Janie Francis.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Denise Fallows, of New Jersey, son Billy Jr. (Sandy) of Warner Robins, and daughter Valerie Lynn of Warner Robins, and step-son Christopher Garrett of Tennessee; grand-children Felicia, Dominique, Danielle, Mallory, Megan, Aaron, and Chelsea; and numerous great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bill dearly loved his country and proudly served in the United States Navy followed by a career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he retired. He wanted all to know that as a young boy he lived by the Pentecostal Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at 278 Matheny Road in Goodway, Alabama. He was an avid collector and gifted singer and prolific songwriter. During the years he attended Warner Robins Pentecostal Church he was a favorite soloist and dedicated member of the music ministry team. Bill will be dearly missed and those who loved him are comforted to know that his reunited in Heaven with his loved ones.

He will be laid to rest in a graveside service beside his beloved Patsy in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 10:00 am, with visitation from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
