Obituary of Eleonore K. Morgan

Warner Robins GA - Eleonore Knierim Morgan, 83, passed away June 16, 2021. A service honoring and celebrating her life will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Monday, June 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The friends can greet the family Monday, June 21, 2021 between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens with Minister Daniel Gatlyn officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Mrs. Eleonore Morgan would be greatly appreciated.

Eleonore was born to the late Jakob and Anna Maria Schneider Knierim on January 7, 1938 in Worms, Germany, and was one of 10 siblings. Eleonore attended all of her schooling in Germany. Eleonore met and married the love of her life, a young airman stationed near her hometown; William C. Morgan, who later retired from the U.S. Air Force. Eleonore was a homemaker and a proud military spouse.

Of Protestant faith, Eleonore absolutely loved, cherished, and adored her family. She was preceded in death by her parents;  Jakob and Anna Maria,  husband; William, son; Curtis Carson Morgan, granddaughter; Jamie Lynn Carter, and seven siblings; Ria Knierim Bengana, Helga Knierim Hertzog, Günter Knierim, and Jakob Knierim, Gertrude Knierim Shoudel, Siegfried Knierim, and Veronika Knierim Fülster.

Eleonore was a giver! From spoiling her family every chance she got,  to donating to various charities on a regular basis such as St Judes, Disabled Veterans, The Macon Rescue Mission, just to name a few. She was an avid gardener, and loved adding to her flowers every year, even when she could not tend to them anymore.

Eleonore will be missed by her three surviving children; Steffi Ferguson (Roger), Shelby Cooley (Richard)  Ellen Carter, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and all of Warner Robins, Ga,  siblings, Franz Knierim (Germany), and Heinrich Knierim (Gemany).
