Obituary of Billie McElroy Cox
Billie Nell McElroy Cox, born May 23 1924, in Marshall, Arkansas to Elizabeth and William McElroy, passed away August 7 2021, from COVID. She’s now with her beloved Bill, her husband of nearly 70 years.
Survivors include 4 children, Bill, Bob, Reinita and Araminta; 8 grandchildren, Monica (Dean), Amy, Jeremy, Michael, Travis (Janet), Joshua, Tazha (Kevin) and Tarah (Jason); 11 Great-grandchildren, Miranda, Kyle, Destinee, Mady, Cameron, Briceon, Asher, Ainsley, Doc, Dylan, and Daizi; 2 great-great grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Araminta Jane Hamilton and Frances Grant and many, many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, William (Bill) Charles, she was predeceased by 2 sisters, Rosemary Corley, Colleen Carroll Brooks and 5 brothers, Jim Cooper and Roger, George, Gerald and John McElroy.
A Memorial Service honoring Billie's life will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021, beginning at 11:00AM. The family respectfully asks that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic all services will be held private for family only.
