Obituary of Billy Braswell, Jr.
Billy Harold Braswell, Jr., age 58, was called home on August 22nd, 2021.
Billy was born on August 25th, 1962 in Harvey Illinois. He grew up in Ellabell, Georgia and attended Bryan County High school where he graduated in 1980. He also was a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church.
After attending a year at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, Billy joined the Iron Workers Local 387 out of Atlanta, Georgia where he was a life member. He also was a member of Local 40 in New York City and several other locals across the United States. He retired after 35 years.
Billy’s first love was his family and all of his many dear friends. His second love was antique cars and collecting vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles and parts. He was an avid collector for many years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Harold Braswell, Sr.; grandmother, Thelma Raudabaugh and Mary Hogan.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Loretta Braswell; sister, Deborah Braswell; daughter, Cheyenne Braswell; niece, Brittini (Michael) McNally of Vista, California; nephew, Brandon Stewart, of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of extended friends and family across the United States.
A funeral service will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Tully Griggs officiating. A motorcycle procession will follow to Glen Haven. The friends can greet the family, Sunday, August 29, 2021 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
