Obituary of Charles L. Bennett, Jr.

Warner Robins, Georgia – Charles Leroy Bennett, Jr., 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 with his beloved family at his bedside. A visitation with family and friends will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Service honoring the life of Charles will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Immediately following the services Mr. Charles will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife of 64 years at Parkway Memorial Gardens.

 

Charles was born on July 1, 1934 in Leslie, Georgia to the late Jessie Adel Etheridge and Charles Leroy Bennett, Charles worked at Robins Air Force base as a quality controller civilian at Robins Air Force Base for 38 faithful years. When Charles was not working, he could often be found spending time in his garden or on a body of water fishing and enjoying the beauty of the Lord’s creation.

 

Charles was a very devoted husband to his beloved wife, Elneta Flanders Bennett for 63 years. His love and devotion for his family was unwavering which was expressed daily. While he loved his family, his love for his Lord and Savior was of his outmost importance which showed in his daily walk with his Lord Jesus Christ.

 

In addition to his parents and his wife, there awaiting for him at the gates of heaven are his beloved 3 sisters.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Terica Boyer (Ben), Warner Robins; Dean Bennett (Susan), Cordele; Tena Siebenmorgan (Daniel Bender); Warner Robins, Grandchildren, J.C. (Kim) Siebenmorgan, Tyler Siebenmorgan, Sheila (Mo) Boyer; Great-grandchildren, Kenadi, Ayden, Kaysen Siebenmorgan; Siblings, Bill Bennett (Frances), Jim Bennett (Tinnann). He is also survived by many extended family members. 

 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you towards the staff at Kindred Hospice for their unwavering support and love.
