Obituary of Bruno John Grosskopf

Bruno John Grosskopf, age 62, passed away October 4th, 2021. A memorial service will be held October 30th, 2021, 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. The friends may greet the family from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, October 30th, 2021 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

Bruno was born on April 30, 1959 in Sparta, New Jersey to the late Betty Gifford Grosskopf and John Grosskopf. Bruno served in the United States Air Force for several noble years where he won many awards for public speaking. He went to Troy University while serving this great nation and received his degree in Computer Science. Upon being honorably discharged from the military, he began working for Honeywell, Inc., where he remained until his retirement in early 2021. He most recently served in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in the 402nd CMXG Engineering group. Bruno was a mentor for the FIRST Robotics Team 3635. Although Bruno enjoyed computer science, he also was a devoted member to the American Legion Hall, Sons of American Revolution, and Dixie Crow Chapter of the Association of Old Crows. In his spare time throughout the years he cherished going for joy rides with his mother in his Bronco, making memories by playing cards and having a beer with his buddies, and most importantly, spending time with his loving family.

Bruno is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan Grosskopf of Bonaire, GA; children: Alexander Ryan Grosskopf of Bonaire, and Bruno Duncan Grosskopf of Bonaire; stepbrother Tim Hunt of Texas, stepsister Dianne Wood of New Jersey, and a host of extended friends and family.
