Obituary of Melanie Greenway Powell

Macon, GA-Melanie Greenway Powell, 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Services are private for family only. Services will be streamed here online for Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:30AM.
Melanie was born March 27, 1943 in Summertown, Georgia to the late Dorsey and Grace Greenway. She worked for Walgreen's as a customer service representative. Melanie loved watching the University of Georgia Bulldogs football team and the Atlanta Falcons football team play. She also enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Melanie was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be missed by everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Troy Howe and brother, Bennie Greenway.
She is survived by her daughter: Sheryl Salyers (Mark) of Macon; son, Michael Powell (Maria) of Arizona; five grandsons: Trevor Howe, Matthew Powell, Kyle Powell, Stephen Powell, and Andrew Powell; three sisters, Mary Nesmith, Brenda White, and Linda Robinson; three brothers: Tommy, Donnie, and Terry Greenway.
