Obituary of Clay Moorer

Clay Moorer, age 64 passed away October 25, 2021. A memorial service will be held November 13^th, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church, 132 Pitts Chapel Rd, Macon, GA 31217.

Clay was born in Wichita, Kansas to Lela Moorer and the late Vernon Bryson on March 26, 1957. Clay served in the United States Army for several years. He then worked at Walmart as a store manager. Clay was a member of Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church where he served the Lord. Clay was a fan of the Notre Dame Football team and enjoyed the Beatles, Sherlock Holmes, playing Chess, Spades, and Hearts. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his dear family and friends.

Clay leaves behind his beloved high school sweetheart, Betty Shuman; children, Jennifer Adams, Katherine “Katie” Moorer-Mincey; grandchildren, Samuel Adams, Anakin Mincey; siblings, Leslie Smith, Patricia Kruger, Robert Moorer, and a host of extended friends and family.
