Obituary of Willie Wayne Sumlin

Willie Wayne Sumlin, age 63, passed away October 30, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. The friends can greet the family one hour prior.

Willie was born in Miami Florida to the late Willie Walter Sumlin and Bessie Harp on February 25, 1958. When Willie wasn’t working at Perdue in maintenance, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and being on his boat. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. He was also a fan of the Florida Gators.

Willie is survived by his wife, Lisa Sumlin; children, Angie Mitchum, Mitch (Jonnie) Mitchum; grandchildren, Austin Churchwell, Jordan Mitchum, Samantha Christian, Kaylee Mitchum; great-grandchild, Daxton Mitchum; sibling, Chester “Frank” Sumlin, Sr.; nephews, Chester Sumlin, Jr., Paul Sumlin; niece, Adrian Sumlin; and a host of extended friends and family.
