Obituary of Johniece Thompson

Johniece V. Thompson of Warner Robins passed away peacefully November 18, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

Ms Thompson was born Gwendolyn Johniece Varnadoe April 20, 1932 in Broxton, Georgia.  She grew up in Fishing Creek Community, Telfair County, Georgia, and graduated from Lumber City High School in 1949. She was retired from Federal Civil Service, having worked at Robins Air Force Base as a supervisory Production Management Specialist.

Ms Thompson was a devoted Christian and was very active in her church, Central Baptist in Warner Robins, until her illness precluded her activity. Ms Thompson was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Olen Phillip Thompson, and her parents, John C. Varnadoe Sr., and Mary Ann Varnadoe Bouche.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Thompson of Bonaire, and Randy Thompson of Warner Robins, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A Graveside service will be held November 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Park Cemetery in the Mausoleum. The family will greet friends following the service.
