Obituary of Roberta Grider Wells

Warner Robins, Georgia- Roberta Grider Wells, 94, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior on Monday, January 17, 2022. A Graveside service will be held at Ft. Leonard, Missouri Cemetery.

Roberta was born on March 13, 1927 in Princeton, Kentucky to the late Ruth Douglas Grider and George Grider. Roberta was a very hard working woman who strived to provide for those she loved. She was a proud business owner of a “Hillbilly Store” on the world famous Route 66. Roberta was also very skillful with flowers and had created countless beautiful floral arrangements at her floral shop, Flowers by Roberta. While Roberta worked hard, she always had her family at the center of her heart. By doing so, she was able to create many memories with those she loved and have an abundance of fun throughout their adventures.

Roberta was a woman who loved to have fun and would never meet a stranger. In fact, she would always try to help those in their time of need and bring a smile upon their face. Roberta was so sensitive to others needs she would often times go out of her way to help provide for those who needed assistance. She was always sharing her smile that brought a ray of happiness to all that knew and loved her. Above all her accomplishments and hobbies, nothing brought her more joy than her beloved family. Roberta loved to be surrounded by those she loved and express her love and gratitude for all of her family. Many stories were shared and memories created with Roberta surrounded by her family and of course, her smile could be seen upon her precious face.

In addition to her parents there, awaiting for her at the gates of heaven is her beloved first husband, James E. Wethington; Second Husband, Sterling Wells; Children: Lee Jay Wethington, Tammy Sue Wethington; Granddaughter, Jennifer Aldrich; Siblings: Edward Grider, Georgia L. Grider, Harlis Grider, Kenneth Grider, and Floyd Grider.

Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her beloved daughter, Patricia Six (Larry); Donna Aldrich (Robert); Granddaughter, Michelle Mays (Josh); Great-grandchildren: Kiley Law, Logan Edward Lister, McKenzie Lister, Derrick Aldrich; Great-Great-grandchildren, Kallie Law, Jaxlyn Michelle Law; Sisters: Beulah York, Margie Buis, Lucy Watson.
