Centerville, Georgia – Minister Lucille Moore Serrano, 68, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 06, 2022. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Lucille will be held at a later date at the request of the family.
Lucille was born on April 26, 1953 in Queens, New York to the late Sydney Moore and Edna Mae Lillard. Lucille was a woman who was always eager to learn new things. In fact, she had obtained a degree in teaching, nursing, and theology. Through each of these degrees, she had obtained a wealth of knowledge and skills to help shape the lives of others.
In her free time she could often times be found in her yard gardening and sprucing her flowers for all her neighbors to enjoy. She also truly enjoyed cooking for those she loved while sharing her warm smile. Lucille was a very family oriented individual who adored her grandchildren. She was often times found alongside her grandchildren hunting for a good deal while shopping at their favorite stores. She also loved to binge watch her famous crime shows including; NCIS, Law and Order, as well as Criminal Minds. When she got tired of watching her shows she would jump in the car and go on her world famous “joy ride” or call her friends have her “friendly chats”. However, in all that she did one thing remained she always displayed her warm and infectious smile.
Lucille was both a devoted Christian and Minister who taught of both the love and mercy of her Savior, Jesus Christ. While she showed love and mercy to those, she was teaching of the Lord’s good news she also taught them of the harsh consequences of their earthly ways. Lucille truly found great joy and peace in helping others in a time of need and she had ministered to hundreds of individuals and led them to the Lord where they would thirst no more. Lucille loved the Lord her God with all of her Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength as Luke 10:27 states. Lucille had served as a Minister at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Americus Georgia for a numerous of years under Bishop Melvin Mcluster
In addition to her parents there awaiting for her at the gates of heaven is her beloved sister, Louisiana Myers.
