Obituary of Jeanette Fowler Purser

Jeanette Fowler Purser, 94, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, June 2, 11:00am in the Centerville Cemetery. She will lie in state until her services at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. The Reverend Mike Parker will officiate.

Jeanette was born August 22, 1927 in Cochran, Georgia to the late Walker and Rosa Lee Fowler, Sr. She worked as a line worker for Hal Fly, packing crackers for Keebler, and water treatment specialist for Anderson Chemical. Jeanette was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Warner Robins.  She was a talented vegetable gardener and the guardian of her fur baby, Buddy. Jeanette and her husband spent hours upon hours fishing in tournaments all across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama with their white poodle, Gigi. She was a loving mother and grandmother and everyone who knew her will miss her.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Purser; son, Tommy Wayne Purser; brother, Alton Mullis; and step sister, Christine Black.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Linda Dianne Purser Gaston of Florida; brother, Walker (Wanda) Fowler of Centerville; sisters: Bobby Barton of Hawkinsville and Cherry Maddox of Hawkinsville; and grandson, Charles Douglas Carnes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Promedica of Macon, Georgia.
