Clay was a part of our family of runners/walkers. Different races every weekend for many years. Our last race together with several of our friends was the Air Force Museum last January. So pleasant to be around. Will miss him.

We were so sorry to read about Clay`s passing. He was one of our most reliable and conscientious volunteers at Centerville Recycle Center. He always kept us in line and let us know where we could impove. Whether it was the shrubbery needs trimming so people can see to exit the center, or a security light is out and needs replacing, or maybe just encouraging patrons to move their vehicles not to block other patrons from coming and going. We hated he decided to quit the Recycle Center recently. He felt we were all overworked and under appreciated by the city and he was probably right. We appreciated him, the hours he put in and the suggestions he would make. He will be missed by his fellow volunteers. Thank you for sharing this wonderful man with us. We will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers. Randall and Cheryl Wright ( Centerville Recycle Center)

Clay was my school mate and ATO fraternity brother at Mercer University in the early 60s. He was a totally honorable man, always respectful of others and a terrific role model. It was easy to love and respect Clay.
