Obituary of John Peterman
BYRON, GA-John Russell "Johnny" Peterman, 57, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 1st 3:00pm in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment is private. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00pm, one hour before the service.
Johnny was born November 8, 1964 in Macon, Georgia to the late Marvin Peterman and Bettye Clark. He was an avid car guy, an admirer of classic, hot rods, and muscle cars. Johnny had a 1968 blue Chevrolet Camaro that he would put in many car shows. His cherished awards consisted of the "Best Engine" & "Best Chevy" Award" and his favorite, "Ladies' Choice Award". Johnny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
Johnny is survived by "the love of his life" & "his angel on earth" and wife of thirteen years, Tammy Peterman; children: Ashley (Brett) Walters of Jones County, Ryan Peterman of South Carolina, Britanee (Anthony) Bucher of South Carolina; Morgan (Joshua) Cromer of Byron, Leigha O'Brien of Macon, and Travis Patat of Macon; grandchildren: Taylan, Taccoa, Peyson, Gunner, Kaleb, and Reigan; siblings: Sherry (Clarence) Ford of Roberta, Mike Stanton of Macon, Denise (Kenneth) Cravey of Crawford County; Ronney (Dianna) Peterman of Warner Robins, Frank Peterman of Texas, and his "other brother" Mike Purvis of Milledgeville.
