Gregory Williams

Obituary of Gregory D. Williams

Gregory Dennis Williams, entered into eternal rest in Warner Robins, Georgia on October 25, 2022.

His journey began on April 5, 1954, in Washington, D.C., when God blessed Harrison and Lula Williams with their third child, Gregory Dennis.

Greg, as his family affectionately called him, was a sweet child, very curious and always full of jokes and laughter. He had tremendous love for his family and his church. He also cared for animals, and was a great fan of sports, especially football. He looked forward to cheering on his favorite teams every weekend.

Gregory served for several years on the Usher Board at First Baptist Church, Washington, D.C. He was also a member of the Male Chorus. In later years, Greg was employed at the Happy Hour Service Center in Warner Robins, Georgia, and was great at accomplishing any task assigned to him.

What Greg enjoyed most was helping people, no matter who they were or where they were. He always did what he thought was the right thing to do to be helpful, and always inquired about the wellbeing of others. On October 25, 2022, God called Gregory home to be with Him in Glory.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, and leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving aunt: Catherine Blount; his niece: Mahite Williams; his nephews: Brandon Williams and Calvin D. Williams, Jr.; his cousins: Beverly Brown (Kenneth), Aneyeus Dinkins,  Denise Folks (Henry), Deborah Jones, Roger Powell, Jr. (Geneva), Tony Powell (Gwendalyn), Bernard W. Robinson, Jr., Robin Tearney (Russell) and a host of other relatives and friends.

To God be the Glory for all the wonderful years He so graciously shared His beloved Gregory with all of us!
