Obituary of Rex C. Stanley

Mr. Rex C. Stanley, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 17, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held at Community Bible Church of Trenton, MI at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 28th.

Rex was born on May 5, 1952 to the late Leon Stanley and Juanita Rakes Stanley. In addition to his parents, awaiting at the gates of Heaven are his son, Jonathan Stanley, and sister, Connie McGinnis.

Rex devoted his life to serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was a faithful member of God's True Vine in Chase, MI and Peachtree Baptist Church in Byron, GA.  Rex enjoyed casting a fishing line, hunting, feeding and watching the birds, going for rides in the woods spotting deer, climbing a deer stand, riding his dog Tido around on the lawnmower, dancing and singing with his siblings, and most importantly, spending time with his beloved family. In addition to spending time with his family, Rex also enjoyed working on any and all automobiles. Rex was a dedicated and loyal man. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years. Rex was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed. He lived for The Lord and was the BEST Papa EVER. 

Rex is survived by his beautiful wife, Mrs. Theresa Kimberly Stanley; children: Tina (Eddie) Bramlett, Rex Stanley, Jr., Larry (Julie) Castle, and Marie Castle; grandchildren: Paige, Samantha, Megan, Emma, Claire, Susy, Alyssa, Victor, Vittorio, Lexi, Ace, and Sophie; great grandchildren: Clementine, Juniper, Emma, Elijah, Remi, Trent, Annabelle, and Cooper; dear brother, Kenny Ferguson; siblings: Sylvia (Dave) Joyce and JoAnn (Dan) Baker, and a host of extended friends and family.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
