Obituary of Linda Thomas Barlow

Linda Faye Thomas Barlow, 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Warner Robins, Georgia. Linda was born February 8, 1948 to the late Miller Thomas and Inez Bowie in Deridder, Louisiana. She was baptized at an early age, this devoted Woman of God, worked in the church as a missionary, choir member & church Mother. “Mother Linda” served faithfully under many pastors, during her memberships at Magnolia Springs COGIC, Faith Temple COGIC in Texas, United Christian Faith COGIC in Louisiana, Shiloh COGIC, Greater Cathedral of Praise & Total Agape Healing and Deliverance Ministries in Georgia. Linda studied Home Economics at Southern University, up until her marriage to James Herman Barlow on July 27,1968 and to this union two daughters and a son were born. She was a dedicated Wife & Mother and was always involved in multiple activities, she held the position of PTO president, she eagerly worked her way to the Top of a popular home based business, winning multiple accolades & awards for her accomplishments. She also drove for a medical transportation company. Linda enjoyed traveling & spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Ramona Barlow, Monica (Corey) Rushing, all of Warner Robins, GA and son Marlon Barlow of Bonaire, GA.

Her Bonus children; Thomasina Everett, Shontay Williams & Roderick Williams. Her 8 grandchildren, Raimontye, Dar’Ranica, Deonte’, D'Khari, Kamari, Anya, Keegan, and Kayleigh. Special Mention goes to her (like sibling cousins); Larry Bowie , Mertis Diggles & Vernita Webb, ALL of her brothers & sister n laws, ALL of her nieces, nephews, other family & close personal friends. Those preceding Linda in death in addition to her parents were her husband J Herman Barlow, her in laws JB & Opal Barlow, sister Eloise Dunbar & a close cousin James Johnson. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 11:45am at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 28, her service will begin promptly at 12 noon in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Her final resting place will be Parkway Memorial Gardens cemetery in Warner Robins, GA. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to family(near and far), her hometown & local Pastors and church members, her friends, as well as the compassionate nurses of Enhabit Home Health. Your presence, prayers, health care, words of consolation and many acts of kindness have been a blessing to us.
