Obituary of Roslyn Joy Thomas Lyle

Roslyn "Joy" Thomas Lyle, age 79, passed away on January 25, 2023.  A celebration of her life will be held at Parkway Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Glenn Grantham officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Joy was born on February 2, 1943, in Johnson Co., Ga., to the late Theron and Julia Thomas. She attended her years of education in Adrian, Ga and graduated from Adrian High School. After settling in Warner Robins Ga., she married the love of her life, James “Jim” Lyle. They have cherished memories after being married for 40 years. Joy made The Assembly and New Hope Church her church homes where she spent much of her time attending. After retiring from Paragon Industrial, with loving friends going to yard sales, and attending community groups: The Red Hats, The Forever Young, The Centerville Seniors, and The Warner Robins Seniors. She will always be remembered for her kindness, loving smiles, and lots of laughter.

Joy was predeceased by her parents, Theron and Julia Thomas; brother Doyle Thomas; sister June Thomas Grant; and grandson Dustin Horton.

Left to cherish the memories made are her husband James “Jim” Lyle; her children Denny Horton; Tina Horton; Step Children Barbra Lyle Oswald (Paul); Rose Lyle; Robert “Bob” Lyle; Bridgette Lyle; Susan Lyle Hill (David); 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great grand Children; and sister Judy Thomas Brown(Eddie); many cousins, nieces and nephews
