Obituary of Leother Wayne "JR" Burge, Jr.

Homegoing celebration for a beloved and caring son, father, brother, uncle, godfather and friend will be Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11 AM with burial immediately following at Parkway Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 from 6 PM-8 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. 

Leother known to family and friends as "JR" was born in Warner Robins, Georgia to the parentage of Yvonne Ferguson-Grissett and Leother Wayne Burge, Sr. on October 31, 1979.  He lived in West Palm Beach, Florida.  

At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.  

JR was educated in Houston County, Warner Robins, Georgia where he received his General Educational Development diploma.  He worked in food services for many years and loved to cook.  He was an avid undercover chef.  He always wanted to cook and feed people.  He was also a jokester, the life of the party.  Most importantly, he loved and cherished his children, family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jesse and Georgia Ferguson and paternal grandparents Leother Burge and Minnie Burge and his Pops, Michael Grissett.  

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory; his two babies: son Zy'Quan Burge of Alabama and daughter Za'Rya Burge of West Palm Beach, Florida; his blended daughter Shaniah Williams of West Palm Beach, Florida; his loving, devoted, nurturing, dearest mother, Yvonne  Ferguson-Grissett of Locust Grove, Georgia; father Leother Wayne Burge, Sr. (Toni) of Conyers, Georgia; his loving memories to be cherished by brothers, Terrell Walker of Locust Grove, Georgia; Brandon Burge of Conyers, Georgia; blended brother Renardo Lee of Conyers, Georgia; blended sister Terreion Wells of Ellenwood, Georgia; loving, special nieces that he adored Sydney Walker, Alissa Burger, Aliyah Burge, blended nephew Brandon, Jr.; aunts: Rosa Mae Tharpe, Lillian Philson, Deborah Dunn, Regina Roberts, uncles: Milton Ferguson (Vircy), Ralph Ferguson, Philson Ferguson. A loving, devoted fiance' Sharonda Williams of West Palm Beach, Florida; godchildren: Jimel, Nylan, Makyla, and Jeremiah.  A host of other relatives and friends.
