Obituary of Lewis Franklin Cummings

Mr. Lewis Franklin Cummings, 72, passed away on February 8, 2023. A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Lewis was born in Albany, Georgia to the late May and Elijah Cummings on September 1, 1950. Lewis was an honorable man who took great pride in caring for his family. He retired from the United States Air Force after years of dedication and service. After the military, Lewis continued to support his country, working in Milledgeville, Georgia for several years before retiring again. Lewis enjoyed anything to do with communications and computers; he was a diligent worker, always appreciated learning new things. In addition to computers, Lewis enjoyed restoring old cars, but most importantly spending time with his beloved family.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 46 years, Chong Cummings; children, Terri Cox, David Cummings, and Denise Cummings; grandchild, Kira, and a host of extended friends and family.
