Obituary of Frances Lucindy Helms

Frances Lucindy Carroll Helms, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2023. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Don Feezor officiating. A committal service will immediately follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Thomas Malcolm Helms. A visitation is scheduled one hour prior to the service at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home between 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Frances was born on April 4, 1935 to the late John Durwood Carroll and Effie Lee Wood Carroll in Dooly County, Georgia. In addition to her parents and spouse, Thomas Malcolm Helms; Frances is preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Jackson Carroll and Orren Linward Carroll.

Frances was a long time member of Centerville First Baptist Church where she enjoyed listening to joyful hymns and sharing Gods scriptures. She also enjoyed reading novels, camping, and crocheting. In addition to Centerville First Baptist Church, Frances was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Frances is survived by her cherished daughters: Carol (Thomas) Starley of Warner Robins, Karen (James) Carr of Warner Robins, and Cindy (Steve) Williams of Byron; four grandchildren: Bridget Avery, Brian (Carrol) Starley, Aaron Carr, and Miranda (Brandon) McLendon; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters: Jannette Gurr and Sara Lee (Robert) Calhoun; three brothers: Jimmy Carroll, David (Freddie) Carroll, and Albert Carroll; one brother-in-law: Bobby Helms; three sisters-in-law: Nell Carroll, Anne Carroll, and Doris Renfroe.
