Obituary of Theresa Murphy Blount

Theresa Murphy Blount, 64, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away at her residence on March 26th, 2023. Theresa was born on March 19, 1959 in Rhine, Georgia to the late Mr. William J. Murphy and Mrs. Sara Clark Murphy. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Phyllis Murphy Rogers, William J. Murphy, Jr., and James Murphy. As we mourn the loss of Theresa, we remember that she is finally reunited with family she has missed dearly. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. The burial will immediately follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens.

Theresa was born the youngest of five children. It was at a young age, Theresa learned life lessons from her friends and family that she would carry throughout the rest of her life. Theresa was a caring wife and mother, always striving to take care of everyone around her with charisma and energy. You would be hard pressed to find someone more sociable than Theresa. From her early beginnings at Warner Robins High School, to her time as a deli and bakery manager at Kroger, she loved meeting people and making them laugh with her infectious storytelling ability. She lived for and through her friends and family. As she transitioned from her time helping others feed their families to becoming the matriarch of her own family she continued serving her family by raising her two children and later helping with her two grandchildren. Her influence among friends and family is unquestioned and her trademark personality and sense of humor filled every room she was ever in, which continues through those closest to her. Theresa truly lived for her family and they will miss her daily.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 43 years, James W. Blount; her children, James S. Blount and Jacob Blount; her grandchildren, James F. Blount and Brooklyn Blount; and sister, Janice Murphy.
