Warner Robins, Georgia- Victor Nelson Hunsicker, age 75, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. A graveside memorial service will be held on June 6, 2023 at the City of Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Victor was born on March 5, 1948 in Norman, Oklahoma to the late Jack and Earline Hunsicker. He served his country proudly in the Third Armored Division of the United States Army. After leaving the army, Victor started working as an electronics mechanic at McClellan Air Force Base repairing radio equipment and was later promoted to logistics management. He ended his career after 43 years as a Program Manager in the DOD International AIMS Program Office.
In his personal life, Victor loved photography and especially enjoyed taking pictures of birdsand nature. He had a special love of classic cars and motorcycles, and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States by himself, with his family, and especially with his dog, Clara. Throughout his career, he had the pleasure of visiting much of Europe, traveling to places like Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Poland.
One of Victor's most endearing traits was his love for his family. He was actively involved in his children's lives, and was a very nurturing and supportive father and husband. Even when activities of daily living became a struggle for him, he still showed his love for his family in every way he could and always wanted to help and be a part of things.
In addition to his parents, Victor is preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hunsicker.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Phyllis Hunsicker, and his four daughters: Michelle Hunsicker of North Carolina, Jacqueline Hunsicker of Texas, Tiffany Hunsicker of Kentucky, and Amanda Shallcross of Kansas.
