Obituary of Delorese L. Thompson

Delorese L. Thompson passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 12, 2024.  She was 68 years old.  A visitation will be held for friends and family at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 1 PM. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.  She will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Cody Fountain will officiate. 

Delorese was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Vernon Googe and Ophelia Short Googe.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  She would do anything for you whether you asked or not.   Her heart was of pure gold and she will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her cherished husband, E.L. "Tommy" Thompson, children: Christopher Williams, Christi Morgan, Lee Thompson and Jennifer Linero; grandchildren: Skyler, Lanier, Trent, Trista, Celena, Cierra, Sydney, Brandon, Chrissy, Noah, Owen, and Gabriella; siblings: Glenn Googe, Pruitt Googe and Gloria Foster; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
