Obituary of Richard W. Kesler

Richard W. Kesler, 87 years old, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2 PM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia. Visitation will take place one hour prior between the hours of 1 PM and 2 PM.  Pastor Andrew Howe will officiate.

Richard was born March 22, 1937 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Clarence Kesler and Ruth Cotner Kesler. He graduated from Elida High School in Elida, Ohio in 1955, Ohio Northern University in 1961 and Indiana University 1966. He married the love of his life, Susan Freund in 1959 and raised 5 children. Richard retired after 35 years in education as a high school administrator.  He enjoyed teaching, coaching high school sports, and gardening. Richard was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

 He is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth J. (John) Hunter, Anne M. (Bob) Harter;  three sons:  Peter W. (Lyn) Kesler, Nicholas A. (Sarah) Kesler, Samuel J.(Lisa) Kesler;  12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Youth Group, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
