Obituary of J.W. Britt

Live Oak, FL: J.W. Britt, 92, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday in the Evergreen Cemetery in Macon. Mr. Britt was born in Bibb County to the late James Milton Britt and Irene E. Berkner Britt. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dora Robinson Britt, daughters Gloria Britt Fleming and Joan Britt, son James W. Britt, Jr. Mr. Britt was retired from the Greyhound Bus Company with more than 30 years of service. Most of his career was devoted to driving the route between Richmond, VA and New York City. Survivors include his son Alvin Lee Rena Britt of Cochran and a daughter Alice Robert Rice of Lake City, FL, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
