Obituary of Bessie Emily Boothe

Ft. Valley: Bessie Emily Boothe, 84, died Tuesday October 25, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park. Rev. Curtis West will officiate. Mrs. Boothe, a native of Macon, was the daughter of the late Charles Alfred and Bessie Carbine Slaughter and the widow of Lamar Barney Boothe. Her son, Barney Boothe, and grandson, Travis Keith Jones, both preceded her in death. She was a member of Houston Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her children: Barbara Asa Clark, Ann Travis Jones all of Macon, Bivi Lynn Sid Hanna of Albuquerque, NM, Evelyn Rick Sasnett of Ft. Valley. Siblings: Louie Slaughter, Maybelle Livingston, Sally Coulter, Shirley Coulter, Peggy Mander all of Macon, Thelma Merideth of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Simmions of Roberta. Grandchildren: Richard Boggs, Charles Boggs Jr., Michael Boggs, Warren Clark, Laurie Harbuck, David Boothe, Jamie Boothe, Angela Rose, Christina Echols, Sid Hanna IV, Jeffrey Jones, Traci Jones, Ashley Sasnett, Blair Sasnett. 20 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
