Obituary of Angelyn Holmes Childs

Warner Robins, GA: Angelyn Holmes Childs, 72, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Shirley Hills Baptist Church with burial in Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton, GA at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Childs was born in Tifton, GA to the late Marion and Mildred Spooner Holmes. She was a member of the Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Mrs. Childs was very active in the Warner Robins Newcomers Club, the Red Hat Society and a active bridge player. Survivors include her husband Jimmy N. Childs of Warner Robins, daughters Beth Stephen Fenwick of Berwyn, PA and Susan Tracy Payne of Bonaire, sister Nancy Wesley Nichols of New London, NH, brother Marion Virginia Anne Holmes, Jr. of Atlanta, grandchildren Julie Fenwick, Laura Fenwick, Katherine Fenwick, Allie Payne and Childs Payne. Contributions may be made to Shirley Hills Baptist Church at 615 Corder Rd. Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to the Georgia Sheriff Ranches for Youth at P.O. Box 1000 Stockbridge, GA 30281 , in memory of Mrs. Childs. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
