Obituary of Alma R. Tanksley

Ft. Valley, GA: Alma R. Tanksley, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tanksley was born in Anderson, SC to the late John B. and Sarah P. Holland Eskew. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bryon Avery Tanksley. Mrs. Tanksley was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughters Angie Herndon of Lizella, Linda Patterson of Ft. Valley, sons Danny Chambers of Macon, Terry Chambers of Star, SC, Dwain Chambers of Savannah, sister Frances Brewster of Anderson, SC, brothers Homer Lee Eskew of Honea Path, SC, Bill Eskew of Belton, SC, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
