Obituary of Charles H. Warren

Warner Robins, GA: Charles H. Warren passed away on July 22, 2004 at the Perry Hospital Hospice Unit. The memorial service will be at the First Baptist Church of Centerville on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at 3:00 PM. Mr. Warren was born in Wilcox County on August 29, 1938 to the late Henry and Maudie Warren. He graduated from Stetson University with a BS in Education and from Georgia Southern University with an M.Ed in Health and Physical Education. Charles coached basketball at several high schools across the state and at Gaston College, Gastonia, N.C., Brewton Parker College and Mercer University for 13 years. He was a dedicated coach who really enjoyed his players. His wife Peggy Mills Warren of Warner Robins, GA survives Mr. Warren. Other survivors include his daughters: Lisa Elbert Scarborough and Sherri Mack McGraw. Grandchildren: Mandy Chris O? Brien, Tyler Bryant, Garrett Scarborough, Luke McGraw and Ansley McGraw and two great- grandchildren: Miles and Mia O?Brien. Siblings: Mary Alice Maslar, Durwood Mamie Warren, Carol William Walters, Collins Debbie Warren, Nancy Sealy, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society- Winn Dixie Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Court, Decatur, GA 30033-4607 or Serenity Gate at 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA 31069. The family will receive guests immediately following the Memorial Service at the Family Life Center of the church. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
