Obituary of W. W. Strickland

Warner Robins: W. W. ?Bill? Strickland, 81, of Warner Robins died Tuesday February 8, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Rev. Sydney Odom and Dr. H. Owen Bozeman will officiate. Mr. Strickland, a native of Hueytown, AL, was the son of the late John and Rosa Hammonds Strickland. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and an usher. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He also retired from the railroad and Robins Federal Credit Union. He has worked for the past ten years as the night attendant at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife Mildred L. Strickland of Warner Robins. Children: Susan Beuerlein, Lorri Dennis Patterson, Lisa Donnie Sims all of Warner Robins, Sonia Tom Banger of Gulf Port, MS. Siblings: Lucille Wright of Hueytown, AL and Gene Strickland of Tuscaloosa, AL. Grandchildren: SrA Robert F. Cannon Jr., Michael J. Miller Jr., Ashton Miller and Jonathan Patterson. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
