Obituary of John Lloyd Gibbons

FORT VALLEY John Lloyd Gibbons Jr. , 73, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 3, 2007 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2007. Mr. Gibbons, a native of Washington, DC was the son of the late John Lloyd and Edith Gertrude Gayles Gibbons Sr. He was a retired hydraulics mechanic with the civil service of Robins AFB, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Warner Robins Chapter and a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen W. Gibbons of Ft. Valley, Daughter, Joyce Connor Charles of Georgetown, Delaware, a son, Richard G. Morris Bonnie of Kingwood, Texas, 13 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 5 stepchildren, 10 Step-Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
