I met Jamie at the McDonough Gun Range. He was the SWEETEST STRANGER a girl could have ever met. After shooting my gun and his guns, we exchanged numbers and would meet up every few months and shoot guns and clean guns while just chatting. After not hearing from him for a while and thinking we simply fell out of touch, I came across this site and am absolutely heartbroken. Although our friendship was brief, Jamie left a great impression on me. Going to the range wont be the same and I truly have missed talking to him. Til we meet again...

It's with a heavy but celebratory heart that I write these remembrances of Jamie. I didn't have a biological brother but I had a two times spiritual brother with Jamie. After I left the funeral home I drove by the old home place on Sperry Rd and just stopped to look at the carport where so many things were shared with my brother. From rehearsing out tryout songs for the first ever formation of the THS Singers to discussing women in our young lives to what was our favorite song or music group. We were young men living life and taking on new challenges and adventures like a modern day Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Fin. It was a blessing to have known and grown with my brother and there are so many memories and some within the statute of limitations which we won't discuss. But I love knowing that my first plane ride was with Jamie and my first car crash was with Jamie (I was driving) and through it all GOD watched over us because I think GOD felt it was good that two brothers connected. I enjoyed the times we would get off from work and we knew the weekend ritual of clean ourselves, the cars and chores and hit the street searching for the next crazy adventure. But with Mamma Pat keeping us in prayer we made it and turned into men. I will miss us attempting to swoon the girls by standing at the mall and singing the Spinners song " Games People Play" Jamie would have the lead and I took the bottom because my voice was lower. But having the lead he would get the girl's attention. We would later joke and say we would be lounge lizards in Vegas and be our own Rat Pack with him being Sinatra and me, well I was too big to be Sammy Davis so I would be Melvin from the Temptations. We all tried to beat him in bowling and our wagers normally bet with us buying him pizza and a few times we would get him but I think he felt sorry for us and would throw that crazy curve ball a little out and get a gutter ball. He taught me one thing about bowling that relates to life. It's not important that you strike each time you get up but place the ball where that if anything is left it's an easy spare. This holds true in life, we will not always get what we strive for at our first try but by giving it your best effort we leave the door open for success. To all the family I send you my prayers and remind each of you of the teaching of Mamma Pat, loving your family is were happiness begins and will continue as long as you maintain it until the end. I miss my brother as I know you do but GOD saw fit to call him home to watch over Mamma Pat. So know that I love you all and I would like to share a poem I wrote related to John 14:1-3. I love you and may GOD keep you all in his care. There's a promise made to both you and me about a GODLY place prepared that someday we'll see, if we keep our faith, hope and love we will one day share this gift from above. Mansions a plenty for he said this is true, his words shows us the way and what we all must do. So it's at this time he has called me to make my start to travel this road because I've done my part. Let not your heart be troubled today for me, keep GOD in your heart and someday you'll see me along that road leading the way to MANSIONS A PLENTY and a brighter day. Larry (AJ) Reese 2001

Our heartfelt condolences goes out to the family. Nothing can be more painful then losing a love one in death. And God is certainly aware of this. Because in times such as this he provides what you need. Which is comfort to give you strength doing your time of healing ( 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 ). The family is in our prayers.

I worked with Jamie at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. He teased me about my addiction to Lime Coke. He was a wonderful guy and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
