Obituary of Theresa Mary Pugliese Duernberger

Centerville, Ga. – Theresa Mary Pugliese Duernberger, 82, Centerville, GA, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2018 following an extended illness. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Heritage Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Centerville United Methodist Church at 11:00 am, with burial following in the Parkway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, GA. Terry was born September 11, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of Stanley & Jean Pugliese. On July 20, 1957 she married Daniel Eugene Duernberger of West Bend, Wisconsin. They were married in Honolulu, Hawaii at Hickman Air Force Base, where they were both stationed and serving in the USAF. To this union were born 2 sons, Stanley Raymond Duernberger, daughter-in-law Kimberly, grandchildren Baylee and Landon of Warner Robins, step-grandchildren Jessilyn Ray of NYC and Lucas Ray of Orlando, Florida and son Brett Alan Duernberger, daughter-in-law Charity, grandchildren Kate & Evan of Lawrenceville. Terry served 5 years in the military, she worked for many years at Linwood & Robins Schools as a secretary and budget officer. She was a proud member of Keep Warner Robins Beautiful, Houston County/Warner Robins Pilot Clubs and the Red Hat Ladies Club. She served on the Board of Directors for Flint Energies. She was a longtime member of Centerville United Methodist Church. In addition to her sons, Terry is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Daniel of Centerville, her sister Jeri Bush, brother Dominick Pugliese and sister-in-law,Dolly of Boston. She was preceded in death by one brother Bill Pugliese and one brother-in-law Ralph Bush. She is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
