Obituary of Louvenia Adams Joiner

Louvenia Adams Joiner, 90, of Bonaire passed away on September 6, 2018. Visitation is scheduled Saturday, September 8, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home (201 Carl Vinson Pkwy, Warner Robins). A celebration of her life will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, September 9, 3 p.m. with internment following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins. Born June 19, 1928 in Cordele, Ga., Louvenia was a graduate of Glenn Academy in Brunswick, Ga., Class of 1946. Following her graduation, she worked as a telephone operator in Brunswick and Cordele. She had many fond memories of her time as an operator and enjoyed reunions with her coworkers. It was during her time as an operator that her coworker and friend introduced her to Charles Joiner, Sr., who would become her husband of 48 years. Together they raised a beautiful family and enjoyed traveling. Louvenia retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. A member of Second Baptist Church, she enjoyed spending time with her Sunday school class, and also going out to eat with The Lunch Bunch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Oscar N. and Corene (Barefoot) Adams; and two sisters, Willene Harrell and Evelyn Spivey. Louvenia is survived by her brother Marvin Adams of Dade City, Fla.; her three sons, Charles Joiner, Jr. (Kandy) of Centerville, Gary Joiner (Lana) of Macon, and David Joiner (Susan) of Perry; as well as 11 grandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will treasure her memory.
